Harlow 4s returned to winning ways after 5 league games without a win by defeating the hosts by 6 wickets.
The home side won the toss and batted but no-one got in to make any significant score to do muh damage. Harlow’s bowlers picked up regular wickets throughout, Tom Smith-Hughes 3 wkts and Tyler Dobson 2/18 from 9 tidy overs, Max Baulcomb 2 wickets, Mashood Iqbal chipped in as well with 2 as the home side were bolwed out for 124 from 37 overs.
In response Harlow lost a couple of early wickets but Ilhan Mustafa (49) steadied things with a flurry of boundaries to ease the pressure. Ilhan fell short of a well deserved half century, but James Coldwell (29*) and Ken Aldred saw the away side home with 15+ overs to spare.
This win takes Harlow back in to 2nd place in the league as we search for securing a 5th successive promotion.
‘A good solid performance in the field with all chances being held made the difference today, a bit of a wobble when batting but we saw it through comfortably in the end.’
