The chase was built around an outstanding innings from S. Hodges, who retired not out on 53 from 39 balls, striking four boundaries and three sixes to give Broxbourne control of the run chase. Useful contributions from J. Urwin (19) and O. Scott (12) helped maintain the momentum, while L. Higgs remained unbeaten on 16 to guide his side over the line in a tense finish.

Harlow refused to let the game slip away and fought until the very end. J. Fuller was the pick of the bowlers with an excellent 3-wicket haul, while G. Jessey claimed 2 wickets, including two key breakthroughs that kept the pressure on the batting side. T. Morgan also chipped in with a wicket as Harlow continued to battle despite Broxbourne edging closer to the target.

It proved to be an evenly contested match, with Harlow showing resilience with both bat and ball. However, Broxbourne held their nerve in the closing stages, using S. Hodges’ match-defining half-century and a composed finish from the lower order to secure a hard-fought four-wicket victory. Tonights game once again showed the talent at Harlow CC and what is to come in the future both boys and girls showed great efforts with bat and ball.
