2nd XI Report
Harlow CC started their innings on a steady note after electing to bat first. Openers Abdul Munim (16) and Rizwan Qayyum (7) showed early promise but fell in quick succession. A middle-order collapse saw the side slump to 38/4, with key batters Waheed Azam and Dipendra Basnet falling cheaply.
The innings was stabilized by an impressive partnership between Naseer Mirza (46 off 78) and Max Baulcomb (33 off 64), who batted with patience and responsibility, putting together a vital 72-run stand for the 5th wicket. Later, Soulat Ali provided a quick-fire 45 off just 42 balls, including 2 sixes, injecting much-needed momentum into the innings.
Despite the fightback, Harlow’s innings ended at 183 with all wickets down in the 47th over. Extras contributed a significant 19 runs.
Hutton CC 2nd XI Innings
Total: 184/7 in 42.1 overs
Chasing 184, Hutton CC had a shaky start losing both openers cheaply, including a run-out by Dipendra Basnet. At 17/2, the game looked balanced. However, middle-order contributions from Surya Balu (26) and Joseph Parry (9) helped steady the innings.
The match turned firmly in Hutton’s favour thanks to a commanding 63-run knock by Alex Holloway (off just 61 balls) - curtesy a dropped chance, whose innings included 11 boundaries. He was well supported by Sam Crispin, who remained unbeaten on 38 and guided his team to victory with a calm finish.
Despite a spirited batting effort led by Mirza and Ali, Harlow CC’s total proved insufficient against a determined Hutton side. The bowlers fought hard, but missed chances at crucial moments and lack of breakthroughs in the middle overs cost them. Hutton chased down the target with 7 wickets down and just under 8 overs to spare, taking home the full 20 points, while Harlow secured 9 bonus points
3rd XI Report
Harlow faced against West Essex on Saturday, West Essex won the toss a decided to bowl first. We struggled in the first 10 overs only scoring 30 runs and losing a wicket. But a great partnership between Eliot and Ben Terrington put us into a good position as our innings progressed. The partnership really had everything with them both running a 5 as the ball just fell short of the boundary!! Eliot scored 81 and got run out trying to push for a 2 with only a few overs left. Ben Terrington finished on 61 not out and we scored 218 in 50 overs.
Eliot 81, Ben T 61*, Atif 48
When bowling we knew that West Essex had to go for it and also we knew that they go hard from ball 1. That exactly happened losing the new ball on the very first ball!! Bilal picked up 2 wickets in his opening 5 overs but we struggled with our bowling. After those 2 wickets we struggled to create any chances and West Essex chased down the target in the 34th over only 2 wickets down!!

4th XI Report
Harlow won the toss and decided to bat first due to the warm and dry conditions with the ambition to put on a big score that Orsett would have to chase against a strong bowling attack.
With an early wicket taken from Orsett, Jack & Waleed started to tick along nicely with Jack ending on a solid 36 to give Harlow a start with the bat, but with a few more wickets and Alex contributing with 37, it was Ajaz who then came in to hit a quick 50 and give Harlow a respectful and defendable score of 199.
Putting Orsett into bat with a strong bowling lineup with wickets not coming thick and fast but consistently throughout the innings, Harlow piled on the pressure and Orsett pushed back with some sensible batting down the lower order but Musharaf and Myles stealing the show with the ball and making important breakthroughs. A great show of character from Harlow as the game seemed gone with 20 runs left for Orsett to win but with 2 quick wickets, there was hope but Orsett managed to get the bat over the line with one wicket remaining. Altogether, a great day of cricket from both sides and a lot of positives to take away from the game.
