Game 7 - A hard-fought victory against a strong Dunmow CC

Overall, a great season with 5 victories and 2 losses ensured a 2nd place finish.
Our thumping victories ensured our run rate was high to cement the 2nd place.

Cup Competition

The 1/4 final stage was always going to be tough as we were drawn against previous league and cup winners Dunmow CC.
Dunmow posted 111 A/O from 8.3 overs.
Harlow knocked it off without the loss of a wicket in 9.2 overs
Onto the Semi Finals.

Watton-At-Stone the opponents for the Semi-Finals.
Victory in the league stage meant nothing in the cup rounds.
Sometimes Watton demolish opponents, other times they falter.
It was always going to be a tough encounter.

Watton batted first and set a strong 171/3 from their 10 overs.
Harlow mustered their best efforts but fell short finishing on 161/4 from their 10 overs.
A narrow defeat.

Watton-at-Stone went on to win the final to be cup winners.
No shame in losing to the eventual winners!

Thank you to everyone that took part in either the league or cup competition representing Harlow CC.

Special thanks go to Rich Norris who led the team superbly throughout, not only on the field, but also off of it with all the admin involved.
