The club is delighted to announce the forthcoming launch of our very own Fantasy Club Cricket league featuring all of our own players (in adult sides).

At present all the data from last season is being crunched to calculate player valuations based on stats on Play Cricket from 2021 and we anticipate entries opening in early April.

With a budget of £55m players select a team of 11 (mixture of batters, bowlers and all-rounders) and points are gained from all the things you would expect such as run scoring, 50's, 100's, wickets, catches and run outs etc. Minus points can apply for ducks and bowling going around the park but generally its about gathering points not losing them.

Will you bust the budget on Sarfaraz Ahmed or look for value in an up and coming youngster breaking into adult cricket? Can you trust Jack Sykes knee to hold up for the season or do you want to see Jonny Allen's work rota before deciding? So many variables it should be heaps of fun and the source of endless post match banter and merriment. With weekly transfers and extra points for whoever you choose as your captain there's lots to consider and mull over.

We'll let you know much more on launch day and it's an absolute bargain at £6 per individual entry for the entire season with all proceeds, after a small fee to Fantasy Club Cricket, going back into Harlow CC club funds.

Not sure about others but I'm already taking notes at pre-season nets and some are looking in great form already. Would be marvellous to get as many involved as possible and early indications are that it will be a very popular across all the sides.
