The younger XI batted first making a highly credible 230 in 40 overs. Nathan McCarthy top scored with 64 aided by Oliver Allen with 34. Pick of the bowlers for the Overs was Paddy Matthews with 4-22.

In reply, following a guard of honour in recognition of playing in every decade of his life at the club, Alan Howick opened the batting for the overs. Jonny Allen lead the way with a superb 90 and late hitting from Jake Messenger (31 not out) and Paddy Matthews (32 not out) saw their side get over the line in the penultimate over.

Club pro Jason McNally won the after match bowl off at the stumps concluding a really lovely day with great support from a big crowd.
