Lose to South Loughton in HECL league
South Loughton 273-4 Harlow 5th XI 148-7
Harlow Vs may have lost their match but the efforts of those that played were outstanding. Without several of the regular players, the team was boosted by a ‘Dad’s Army’ who ensured that the match went ahead.
Facing a strong South Loughton team who had scored 273 for 4, Harlow had a battle ahead of them but fought to the end, scoring 148 for 7.
The team featured 5 colts, Mufaddal Adamjee, Ben Terrington, Myles Baldock, Matthew Parker and Matthew Hart (43 not out). The experience gained by the colts was invaluable.
However, the biggest cheer of the day went up for Steve Terrington’s first 4, reviving a career that had ended over 20 years ago.
