Against Wickford having won the toss Harlow elected to put Wickford in to bat knowing what they would have to do to win. Wickford were in the batting mood and put on 271 for loss of just two wickets in 44.3 overs before declaring early. Captain Rehman Ahmed used eight different bowlers to try to make a breakthrough but to no avail. The first wicket fell with the score at 47 bowled by Callum Sykes and the next bowled by Ross Vasani with the score at 146 and that was it.
With a big score to chase Harlow lost Luke Monger for 16 with 18 runs scored. The next fell at 79 with Mitch Howarde going for 20. At the crease was Rehman Ahmed who stayed around to score 75 but the rest of the team failed with the bat with only Waheed Azam scoring 22 the only other batsman to get double figures as Harlow were all out for just 167. In reply Hutton reach their target in 39 overs losing five wickets. Zabi Hakimi continued with the ball taking 3-28.
Harlow 2nd XI also have a relegation battle sitting just three points clear of the drop. They face Old Southendians next at home who have only picked up 45 points all season and have yet to win a game. This is followed by final two matches against 1st and 2nd in the table.

Fielding Harlow just could not bowl them out for a win as Wanstead finished on 232-8. Amir Farooq took 5-54and Ilhan Mustafa 2-44. 3rd XI sit comfortably in mid-table and should finish in that area.
