Wins for 1st & 3rd defeat for 2nd & 4th

South Woodford 1st XI 230 all out Lost to Harlow CC 1st XI 234-9 by one Wicket

Harlow CC 1st XI had a much needed win to close the gap at the bottom of the table winning on the last ball of the match. With the scores level Jake Messenger held his nerve to hit a four to win the match after also contributing earlier in the field with two catches a run out and a wicket. The win means just nine points separate the bottom five in the league following the weekend results. Having lost the toss to South Woodford, they elected to bat. With the very first ball Nicky Baxter had their opener out for a duck. The good opening bowling continued with Callum Sykes taking the other opener caught by Jake Messenger to leave them on 13-2. The good form with the ball continued as Nicky Baxter then took two more wickets too make the score 43-4. After this South Woodford settled a bit and the score moved on to 99 before Jake Messenger took first a wicket and then a direct hit at stumps for a run out to take the score to 99-6. With Harlow going well they then let it slip as South Woodford put on 96 but then then lost three quick wickets to fall to 196-9. Wicket takers were Luke Monger with two and another for Callum Sykes. A later flurry then took them to 230 before the last wicket fell to Joe Riddell.
Harlow got off to a steady start in reply moving to 54 before Mitch Howarde went for 37. Straight after Luke Monger fell for 17 to leave score at 55-2. Soulat Ali followed to leave Harlow on 70-3. Captain Rehman Ahmed was joined at the crease by Ryan Jessey and between them put on 80 before Ahmed went for 49 and shortly after Jessey for 35 to leave Harlow on 154-5. Zabi Hakimi went for 10 to leave the score on 164-6. With plenty of overs spare and a run rate of 5 over required Nicky Baxter scored 42 to move Harlow close to victory falling with score at 212-7. The game took a turn as first Callum Sykes(8) went and the Ross Vasani(0) to leave the score on 227-9 with four runs require, then came final ball victory from Jake Messenger.

Harlow 2nd XI 245-9 lost to Chingford 2nd XI 251-7

Harlow 2nd XI won the toss and elected to field, Thomas Smith-Hughes soon had the opener out for 5, but after that as much as wickets were falling, the game was won really by two players scoring 91 and 76 respectively for Chingford. Waheed Azam took 2-34 and Lewis Aldred 2-15 with the other wickets taken by Dennis Perry and a run out. Batting in reply Harlow lost an early wicket, but as much as they tried to chase down the score in their 45 overs they came up six short. Top scorer was Thomas Smith-Hughes with 47, others Simon Baulcomb(40), Atif Mustehsan(32),Max Baulcomb(30), George Messenger(27) and Danny Stone(26).

Harlow 3rd XI 293-7 beat Hainault & Clayhall 3rd XI 233 all out.

Put into bat 3rd XI set about the bowling attack of Hainault as the
opener Dipendra Basnet(65) and Rob Coldwell(46) got them off to a good start. It carried on with most batsman getting double figures apart from the last two who were not out. Jake Hikmatashah(60), Ilhan Mustafa(42) contributed with good scores and Harlow finished with 293-7 from allocated 45 overs. Replying Harlow took an early wicket by Daniel Whellams to get out their opener 10. Regular wickets fell before Hainault were all out in 40 overs for 233. Wickets were shared around Tyler Dobson 2-51, Reece Galvin 2-45, Abdullah Farooq 2-20 and Jake Hikmatashah 2-16. Two wickets for Whellams one father Dave and one for son Daniel 1-18 & 1-35 respectively.

Belhus 3rd XI 135-3 beat Harlow 4th XI 132 all out.

Harlow 4th XI were well beaten at Belhus. With an understrength side and only 10 players they were bowled out for just 132. Top scorer was Rizwan Qayyum(29) and Arshad Muhammed(26) followed by Harry Burton(15) and dad Alan(14). Bowling in reply Belhus scored 135 for lose of just 3 wickets, Mustafa Shah with 2-38.
