Summary

Last night the Club held its annual AGM. Many issues where discussed across the evening with several to be resolved at a later date. One of the key ones was the Adults subscription and best options method of charges, as to being a yearly fee and match fee or just a fixed higher level for matches. A new committee has been set up on the senior Cricket side led by Jon Allen amongst other who will be looking at all aspects of the playing side and how the club can move forward in the future.

The club has decided to accept a zero tolerance with regards to the use of drugs on the club premises, further statements on this and potential posters will be going up around the club in the future months.

The committee realise that improvements are required on the Spicers Playing side and are considering various improvements such as side-screens and an Electronic Scoreboard. Also improvements to the patio area and possible enlargement and maybe some form of covered area. All suggestion made to the club will be considered.

The club also at sometime will have to get the old pavilion knocked down.

For peoples information following comments it has been agreed that the senior presentation will formed as a dinner next year with the date set for 6th October 2018.

On the playing side the captains for next season where selected. The 1st and 2nd team captains remain unchanged with Rehman Ahmed and Lewis Aldred. On the 5th team front Jack Sykes has decided to retire as captain, currently nobody has come forward to take on the role. Paul and Christine Baxter have stated they would manage the team, this would ease any burden on the an appointed captain with only the on-field duties to contend with.

On the finance side the club is doing well but things will be known better in 12 months time how the club is progressing as we will have a full year operating in the new clubhouse.

On the Committee side Alan Howick remains as Club President alongside all the existing committee of Simon Radbourne-Chairman, Pip Riddell-Secretary, Jenny-Tasker Treasurer, Cliff Clark-Fixture Secretary, Lorraine Burton-Welfare and Child Protection, Jon Allen-Parent Rep and Child Protection, Tracy Sykes-Social Secretary, Paul Baxter-Colts Manager and Bill Sorensen and Craig Messenger Committee Members.
